Minnesota Twins

On a UFC Countdown shoot to film Rose Namajunas in Minneapolis, Minnesota, we got in early enough on August 31st to hit up a major league game.  Our hotel was located in downtown, and the weather was nice, so we walked to a restaurant near the park.  Great food, including the notable beef tartar appetizer, which stuck out to me as one of the best versions I had ever had.

Then it was off to the ballpark.

The Cubs scored first in the first inning off a solo home run, but the Twins responded with a sacrifice fly to tie it up 1-1.  The Cubs scored again in the 2nd inning, making it 2-1 Cubs.  This lasted until the Cubs hit a huge home run into the third deck in the 8th, making it 3-1 in favor of the Cubs.  The Twins had a chance to come back in the bottom of the 8th with the bases loaded and only one out.  But a shallow pop fly lead to a throw-out at home plate, resulting in a double play, which effectively ended the Twins’ hopes.  The Cubs won the game 3-1.
